Celebration of Ministry.jpg

Total Ministry is a shared ministry, which sees the whole Church as a body of ministers: baptized, sealed, ordained, commissioned – faithfully and perceptibly striving to honor their commitments to the Baptismal Covenant. Total Ministry therefore embodies mutuality and accountability and reflects the optimism, enthusiasm, and focus on mission characteristic of the early Christian Church.

Join us for worship with Holy Eucharist on Sundays at 10:00 am. All are welcome!

COVID-19 Update

As Christians, we follow the commandment Jesus gave us – to “love our neighbors as ourselves.” Loving our neighbors these days, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, means setting limits. This is how we love our neighbors – by working to slow the spread of this extremely contagious, life-threatening virus. We know that coming together, even for the best of reasons, can spread this disease. There are many unknowns about this public health crisis, but this much is clear -- social distancing is an essential part of our collective response.

As People of God, it is our moral, civic, and spiritual obligation to care for one another by taking the necessary steps to slow the spread of this virus and continue to serve our communities with generosity, hope, and joy.

The Vestry and MST have made the decision that St. Michael’s will continue worshiping remotely well into Phase 2 due to the significant restrictions on in-person worship and out of an abundance of care and concern for the health and safety our members.

We understand it is difficult for all of us not to be together for church as usual; however, at this time traditional in-person worship may harm many members of our church family. As Christ showed love and respect for others, we too must do the same during this pandemic time. We must remember that the building is NOT the church. WE, the people, are the church. And we do not want to go back to our building until everyone can safely return together. While we may be missing each other physically, our virtual worship services have been extremely engaging and have allowed for many members to participate in various ways throughout the service, from providing music to reading lessons to leading the service.

The Vestry and MST will continue to meet remotely and regularly to reassess the evolving situation with COVID-19 and do plan to re-engage our building in the future when it is safe.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.

Look to our Diocesan web-page for updates and creative, virtual, liturgical worship and ministry resources. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Bishop Perry or the Diocesan Staff.

St. Michael's will be holding our Sunday morning services via live stream. The service, lectionary, and prayers can be found on our VIRTUAL WORSHIP tab. Please join us virtually on Zoom or via Facebook Live on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am!
